About Medical Education Systems, Inc.
Founded in 1997 as Medical Education Systems, Inc. one of the earliest online nursing CEU providers to offer a robust selection of online and print classes, today MedEdSys almost 100 classes for a variety of healthcare professionals. The private, minority- and women-owned continuing education company is located in Historic Old Town San Diego. Today, MedEdSys is in the midst of expanding its offerings to include non-healthcare fields such as legal, real estate, social work, and accounting.
How do you know the classes are great?
Unlike most online providers that merely resell other company's courses, MedEdSys has an experienced staff of carefully screened, credentialed authors who create custom nursing CEU courses for MedEdSys based on the most recent healthcare information available.
The continuing education nurse classes are also updated continually to ensure they include the latest changes in nursing protocol and procedures, including bi-annual ANCC-COA policy changes.
How are classes created?
Every six months, new classes are recommended by the MedEdSys Planning Committee, which carefully evaluates what is currently available industry-wide and what topics are of interest in all key professional journals. MedEdSys also leverages the services of outside healthcare professionals including RNs, LVNs, LPNs and an expert Nurse Planner.
All nursing CEU activities are created under the supervision of Michael Cronin, former Academic Dean and Director of Course Development for California College for Health Sciences. Pilot studies are also created using a group of Registered Nurses.
The company also carefully considers any courses recommended or requested on the Course Evaluation Form that each student completes after earning their CEU.
